About this event
Join other colleagues at our first Junior Leaders Networking Event (JLNE) event for 2022.
JLNE has teamed up with the Charity for Civil Servants to bring junior leaders a wellbeing day to help you adapt as we Return to the workplace.
The JLNE sessions aim to improve personal, emotional, digital and financial wellbeing.
For the first time, we have introduced an evening session to provide colleagues who work varying work patterns with the opportunity to attend our event.
Please sign up for the session(s) you would like to join.
Session 1: Financial wellbeing - Money and Stress
Facilitator : Tom Barrett
With rising energy costs and the need to budget for travel cost as we Return to the Workplace, this session will help you plan for your finances providing you with tools to manage your financial wellbeing.
Money and Stress - money worries can cause stress, affecting many different aspects of our lives, creating feelings of isolation and may prevent us from sharing our problems with those close to us. Dealing with the practical side of money worries is only part of the problem. Stress, shame and self-criticism can make things seem overwhelming and can act as a barrier to seeking advice. In this session The Charity for Civil Servants Money Advice and Wellbeing Team will look at ways to keep our stress levels under control so we can move forward and manage emotional wellbeing.
Session 2: Smarter Working for your Wellbeing
Facilitator: Lisa Colville
Smarter working helps us to focus on making the right decisions for where, when and how we work. It helps us to optimise technology and the best use of our workplaces and spaces. By working smartly, we can appreciate a better work-life balance to support our own health and wellbeing. During the session we will share tools, tips and advice to help you work smarter - helping your personal development and wellbeing. This session is brought to you The Charity for Civil Servants, and in conjunction with by Civil Service HR.
Session 3: Overview of Charity – Financial capability, Mental Health and Wellbeing services
Facilitator: Max Purcell
Stress can affect every part of your life, including our finances, relationships, mental health and any caring responsibilities you may have. Their presentation covers all of these unexpected issues and how they can help you to combat them. The Charity are providing a half hour online presentation (followed by Q&A), which will explore their wide-ranging support services.
